I know most of the Americans where sound asleep while I was awake watching my little snipe go unplaced.....but did anyone have any snipes scheduled for last nite Aussie time?

This auction ended at 20:49:47 AEDST and I actually just sat down and I could of prolly placed a proxy, but I was thinking AS would do the deed for me - No Go!

Buggeration!! Thats 2 in 2 weeks that havent gone through for me.

...be about 1:49 am ebay/AS time. Is there any maintenance or anything done around that time? What was your lead on that one, Lexie? I dunno -- I can't think of a reason why it shouldn't have fired.

Sometimes I get a little concerned when I see the AS programers spending (wasting?) time bringing us features like local time on our snipe page. Lets face it, if the SNIPING part of the program doesn't work consistently & reliably, WE'RE GONE no matter HOW nice the snipe page presentation is!! It's kinda like rearranging the deck chairs as the Titanic is sinking!

Sorry your snipe didn't fire. Frown

I always use 5 seconds Jab.

I thought they fired those snipes that fell in the Maintenance period before they shut down??

If they had of done that I would of been happy, good ole deep-pockets-Lexie would of walked away with the goods OR made some other bugger pay a ridiculous amount.

I agree with you about the *improvements*. I dont give 2 hoots about the time zones really, I would prefer the searches and feedback working.

Guess our priorites are different.

Most people would prefer the improvements over working searches actually. Not sure about feedback, but I suspect the same there too.

At the end of the day we come to AS to win our snipes - everything else is secondary.
If snipes are not placed or placed at times completely different from the expectations, that is a concern.
Sorry Lexie for the two missed snipes : Frown
