Hi,

I was able to add a snipe thru Snipe It Now yesterday (April 10th).

Are you still getting an error, if so, can you please tell me what the exact error message is?

Any extra info would be appreciated.

Sofia Cool

I have the AuctionSniper Snipe-It-Now item in my regular bookmarks/favorites from months ago (the "links" folder is nothing special other than you can easily make it appear as a toolbar) and it is working absolutely fine, I use it every other day or so. As a previous poster says, quote any error messages you get!

Only thing I can think of is... Are you sure there is room? Click on the >> and see if it is there. (I'm using Internet Explorer)

spshlk, Like the other, I am having no problem. Are you sure it isn't too far off the right of the toolbar to see? Try deleting a couple of things off your toolbar and see if it comes back.

(edit) orig. reply deleted...

You said you get a picture?

I think you are draging the wrong thing to your toolbar. The 'Link Below' they mentioned is the words 'Snipe It Now' in large bold print, not the picture of the box at the very bottom.

If you don't know about the following use of the "LINKS" Toolbar, I guarantee it will transform your internet browsing (and solve the problem raised by spshlk) What it does is create a series of always visible "Speedy LInks" to your favourite web sites. You don't have to search for them in your favourites folder, or even push the Favorites tag to find them! All you have to do to create them is just follow the step by step instructions below.

1. In Internet explorer (Not Opera or Netscape!), click on View on the top toolbar, followed by Toolbars. If a "tick" shows against "lock the toolbars" click on this to unlock (no tick)

2. Look for the bar that says LINK - usually hiding on the far right of one of the toolbars (Sometimes disguised as just a small vertical line with a couple of >> beside it). Grab the end of this bar (by the vertical line) with your mouse and drag it to the topmost toolbar (The one with Files, View, Edit, Favorites, Tools, Help on it) Drop your "links" bar on it - just after the "help" command.

3. Press the Favourites Tab, normally on the second bar down. In the new pane that opens, go down to the Links Folder. Enter this folder and delete all entries. (If you happen to want to keep any, move them into another folder in favourites)

4. Whilst still in the open Favourites Pane, select your most visited web sites (including Auction Sniper of course) - put your mouse over each one - right click - rename with a two letter abbreviation, if possible (so to squeeze the maximum on the bar) - you will see the point of this later when you use them. (For example, I use AS & ASN for the two AS urls)

5. Drag those renamed favourites to your re-positioned links bar. If there is not enough room for all you want, go to View > Toolbars > Customise - select the Small Ikons option. (This menu also gives you the option of Spring cleaning and getting rid of all the rubbish Ikons that Microsoft puts on your toolbars)

Re-visit step 1 and press "Lock the Toolbars" (Tick showing) Press favourites tab to reset back to full width window again.

You now have a toolbar dedicated to those web sites you visit frequently. All I can say is that it will transform the speed of access to those sites.
