I have a bid group that I have sucessfully used before and imported several snipes into it from my ebay watchlist. When I just checked the bid group (first auction expired - item 4306531435) the entire bid group had been cancelled without placing my first snipe. I have tried to edit the cancelled pending snipes to re-instate them, but it says that I am unable to with message "Your Snipe could not be edited at this time."

I certainly didn't cancel any of these snipes myself!

Any ideas?

If your bid group has been used before, it probably thinks you've already won the number of items you want.

Rather than try to reuse a bid group, delete it after your wins, and create a new one each time you need one.

and WELCOME to the forum.

There is no probably to it. It DOES think you've used it before and won't let you again. Once you've won in a bid group, you can't use it again.

I made that mistake once. I'm an expert.

Did you say that you actually won an auction with the bidgroup? Or that the bidgroup just functioned correctly, and placed unsuccessful bids for you?

If you've already won an auction, of course you can't reuse the same bidgroup like everyone says. A different problem occurs when AS cancels a whole bidgroup for no known reason. I had this happen about a month ago, and I suspect others have as well, although AS 'support' staff deny it's possible. There are sporadic bugs in AS, but it's still the best we've got for now!

Many thanks for the suggestions. I have used the same bid group a couple of times before and won without this problem, but I agree that it would be a good idea to delete and re-create the bid group every time I use it.

However, my guess is that this sounds more like a sporadic bug in AS, and as we all know: they are by far the hardest to track down.
