Recently I set a snipe for over $35 on an auction with an unmet reserve. The bid to beat was only $1. Auction Sniper beat that bid, but didn't go any higher in order to meet the reserve. Is it possible to set up a snipe in some way so that it will meet a reserve, or at least rise to my maximum bid while trying to do so?

Nope. The only way to meet the reserve is to bid at least the reserve. If you do that your bid immediately jumps to the reserve price. Even if the next highest bid is still $1.

A lot of people actually get mad at us for that, even though it has nothing to do with us, it's just how eBay works. If you place a bid that beats the reserve it jumps way up to the reserve price.
