for the last two days I have tried sniping and I keep getting a message that reads, "User error in "/" application. The viewstate is invaled for this page and might be corrupted". I am not computer literate and don't understand what this means. Can anyone help me? There are several things I want to snipe.....

Sometime checking the "Remember me" box when signing in clears up things, but I don't think this is the problem.

Other ways to snipe beside "Snipe it now":
1) Use the "My Snipes" tab. You'll see a box titled "Add a new snipe".
2) Also, you'll see "Import Wizard". That will allow you to snipe everything you're watching on "My ebay" page.

I read on another snipe program's page that they were being blackmailed by hackers. Is that the problem here? (I do not use another program)

Also, what is going on. My name is not "marie" like it is showing. I logged in and lo and behold is says "hello Marie??"

Sounds like someone got a little too dramatic. Several old-timers here (much older then me), and they've never complained, nor have I heard any valid complaints.

P.S. - Click on up "My Pop", then "Profile". What name do you have in "Display Name"?

I did some more research. Clicking on "My Pop", then "Contacts", then "Irish" in "Username", I got a hit on "Marie". I think if you click on "Profile" you'll see "Irish" in "Username" and "Marie" in "Display Name". You should be able to change "Marie" to "Irish". Don't know how it originally got there.

i've been getting the same but how i've been getting around it is to Klik the home button then klik the "keep on sniping" button then it works. for like 5 or 6 mins.Then you have to do it again.
but ive had no probs adding snipes when doin this

This problem must be a huge one. It's almost a week and I still can't snipe. ;-{

Regarding the "blackmail" I had referred to earlier. It WAS legitimate because this sniping service posted it to their News Board. Evidently, these attackers that were blackmailing this service for $$, kept trying to hijack the service and for several days they did their best.

Those hijackers need to be jailed!!!!

OK. I thought the "blackmailed" from this forum. My mistake.

That's never been posted on this forum, so if it happened to AS, someone would have said something. Someone did post on this forum that they switched to AS because this happened on another sniping service, so maybe it's the same one you were looking at.

I've never seen any "valid" complaint about security. I say "valid", because sometime someone will come on for the first time and leave a comment. For all we know they are from one of the other services. There's enough "old-timers" around, that if there were any issues of security, they would have discussed it by now.
