Does every Snipe second actually count? For instance, how many times have you lost because you set your lead time to, say, 30 seconds when it should have been 15, or 8, or 5?

Should I really stress myself into getting the most precise, most exact lead time I need to in order to win all my items (as long as I have the highest bid of course, if the winning one was, say, 20% more than I was willing to pay then I wouldn't want to bid for that anyways.)

I shouldn't bother worrying - the idea of sniping is to prevent bidding wars or people reacting to your bid. Most would be hard-pushed to react to a bid set at 1 minute from the end so 30 secs should be fine. I use 8 secs and I've never been too late...

Although I havent had a *Not In Time* response, I have lost 2 auctions recently and I was told by Support that I need to increase my lead time from 5 seconds to avoid missing in future.
