please can you tell me if the max bid amount we put in is used as proxy bidding?or is the max price i put in the price i pay?

AS simply places a bid for you on eBay. So whatever snipe you set up is as if you placed the bid yourself on eBay.

I guess that's the long way off saying it would be a proxy -- it's your maximum bid, not necessarily what you'll end up paying.

Ya, you can think of it as a last second proxy bid.
