You've already changed it on eBay first right?

And you're 100% sure you're typing it in correctly, not your email address, and your typing in your password, then again to confirm it?

yes i'm sure i am typing it correctly. and yes i have changed my password on ebay. i would change my ebay password back to what it was to go with my auction sniper password but when ebay upgraded i had to change my 5 letter ebay password to a new 6 letter one. and my auction sniper password is only 5 letters long and i can't change it. anyone got any suggestions?? i have tried cap locks on my name and my password and every way you can think of. i have lowered all my pop up stopper and my firewalls. i even tried going to through aol and explorer to no avail. it has been 2 days since i sent auction sniper this problem and still no response. if i can't get this fixed i have no choice to leave auction sniper and i have been using it for a long time. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks for everyones time over this matter.

Dont know what to say.

Log in with your old username and password of course, then click the modify account link to change it.

Use the same case you used on eBay. Make sure your userId does not have an @ sign in it. That should be all.

People do this with us all the time. I guess in your support case you could include your new password or something.

Or maybe change your password on eBay again to something else.

Are you sure you can sign in and out of eBay using that new password?

I know this will not help the situation, but when I changed my Ebay password, some time ago, I had the exact problem. I wrote to support, but before they actually replied, I tried it again (maybe the following day, not sure) and it took it. I have no idea what the problem was, but it seemed to cure itself. Here's hoping!

I had the same experience, but simply went back the next day and it worked OK then. I guess it took a while to take. Big Grin

I've changed mine twice - no problem with AS either time.

So are you guys saying that if you change your eBay password, AS will automatically change as well, but there's a delay?

Or are you saying that if you change your eBay password, you'll have to come to AS and change your password here as well, but might have problems with it?

If you mean "here" as in sniping, yes. If you mean "here" as in forum, no.

Appears there has been a few problems, but I think if this happened very often we see more posts about it.

If you change your eBay password, you must log into our site and change it on our site too. Whether or not you have problems changing it on our site is what is being discussed here.

How about opening two windows - one with your ebay account open and one with your AS account open. Copy & paste your ebay ID and password into your AS account info. Then you know it's exactly the same on both sites. If that doesn't work you at least know it's not your fault. It's worth a try.

Careful, a copy sometimes copies a space before and/or after.
