Hello can I purchase insurance for an item when I use Buy It Now? Mike

OK thanks I've used the insurance about 20 times on sniped auctions but I bought a BIN item and didn't know if I could use it or not. Mike

I don't see any place, other than on a snipe, to include insurance. Don't have any idea what AS would do, or think, if you put a snipe on it (assuming it's not JUST a BIN), then did the BIN? Would AS charge you for a successful snipe? Would you have to wait until the end of the original auction date (pre-BIN) to activate the insurance? Would AS support get on the forum and delete this post? Would hell freeze over? These are some of life's major questions that may never be answered.

Auction Sniper shipping insurance can only be purchased for items that are won using our service so, since Auction Sniper cannot be used to purchase "Buy it Now" items, you will not be able to purchase shipping insurance through us for the shipment of such items.

If you place a snipe on an auction item and you forget to check the "Include shipping insurance for a small fee" box when adding the snipe to your account, you can still find the option to purchase insurance after the sale by clicking the "Modify" button next to the snipe. As long as the policy is purchased within 3 days of when the item is shipped, the item will be covered.
