Good Idea!

I will add a 'cell phone preferences' addition to the "Modify Account" page. You will be able to choose what messages you want sent to your phone/pager. Expect this to be up within a day or two.

Your cell phone must have an email address associated with it. I don't know about other companies, but my Sprint PCS Phone's email address is (for example) 5556667777@messaging.sprintpcs.com

Auction Sniper does not dial any numbers to send cell phone messages.

sorry I was thinking it was SMS (now there is a good idea!!!)

I imagine a lot of AS users are non-US based and SMS is HUGE in most places except the US. I think adding SMS notification would be a great and popular addition to the service.

I have all info needed to text msg my phone when winning, or being outbid, but NADA. It looks simple enough... what am I doing wrong? Any ideas?

Send outbid notifications to my cell phone/pager checked

Send only winning snipe status reports to my cell phone/pager (radio button) selected.

I have my text email correct (i tested through outlook to be sure).

I did all the necessary steps. then i found out i typed in my cell address incorrectly. i went to 'modify account', deleted my old entry, and typed in the new one, made sure that i had the option of getting messages sent to my phone, and clicked update. I clicked back on 'modify account', scrolled down to the cell address part and saw it still had the previous incorrect address, so i went through and changed it again. i did this about 7 times. my modifications won't take! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!

Try logging out and back in.
