I have a max bid of $163. The current price for the item is $35, obviouse it going to go up.

What Im wondering is can I still bid because I got the AS bid set at 8 seconds. Im not sure if I could rely on that to go thru. So I want to bid and make sure I win it. Can I? Will it erase my AS max bid?

Also lets say the shoes are set to go for $78, but wit 8sec left will my bid ring in at $163, or will it go up in increments?
Better yet, will it even have enough time to go up in increments to win? Is it that fast in bidding, if not, should I set the time to higher?
