Sniper In Training
Posted
I have been using Auction Sniper for years with no problems. A few days ago I was bidding on a rare car worth more than $50,000 and the bid was made with 33 seconds to go instead of the normal 7 seconds. This gave the other bidder time to come back and win by only $100.00. As soon as this was over I sent an email to support and have not received any response.

I had this same thing happen to me twice in the last couple of weeks. I have always had the lead set at 4 seconds and never had a problem. Now all of the sudden AS is putting my bid in on items 40 seconds early and I have lost by only a few dollars. This has happened on weekdays at different times of the day, so it can't be blamed on a certain day or time. Beats me, but all I know is that I can manually bid faster than 40 seconds!!!

County,

I advise you not to fall for region2’s request. After you post the auction number, he (or another regular) will leave something about it’s impossible for another sniper to react within 40 seconds (only because region2 can’t). Even if it were 40 minutes early, region2 would still use that line. Then there’s the ever favorite cliché about highest snipes, not last snipes, win, or something like that. His (or another regular) suggestion will be to bid more next time, and some kind of comment about “must have” items, even though this doesn’t appear to fall in that category. What ever you do, even though the snipe was 40 seconds early, region2 (or another regular) will suggest that somehow it’s ALL YOUR FAULT.

You’ll not get supportive info on this forum on this subject. So, best to use the link I left you. At least the support staff will be professional and courteous.
