i was wondering if anyone could tell me what would be the safest time to change my maximum bid. i am bidding on an item but i am a little worried incase my maximum bid isnt high enough, how many hours is it fine to change my maximum bid and hour or so before the end of the auction?

Any time, other than 5 minutes before the end, as the above link mentions. But, the sooner the better. Any particular reason not to change it now?
