Do I have to bid on an Ebay item first, before using AS? I have signed up for a number of items and my name does not show as high bidder. Do I remain anonymous unless I win an item by sniping? If I bid on ebay, do I get status as a prior bidder?

Ya, you remain secret until the last second. Then your bid gets placed. That's what makes this so beautiful, nobody even knows you are there.

I guess bidding first would give you a slightly better status if you and someone elses bids were identical. It would also likely end up with the auction going for a higher amount. Bid your best bid and let AuctionSniper do the rest and you'll win more auctions overall and probably pay less overall too.
