I just got an out bid notice that an auction that I had waiting was over my bid price. The auction number in the email was correct, but the title and the current bid amount was for a different auction, with a radically different auction number and by a different seller, in a completely different section of ebay.

I checked my "current snipes" and sure enough it had the "out bid notice" in red even though the real auction I was sniping was currently $100 below my bid. With only 20 minutes to go I didn't think I could get a real answer in time so I cancel my bid, then set it up again.

But I need to know what went wrong and would the old snipe have gone through? How can auction sinper confuse two different auctions?
