As will have to answer this, but since it is primetime Sunday AND so close to the hour when it closed, maybe it couldn't get through in time for Ebay to accept it.

I normally use 8 seconds except on Sunday PM between 5 and 8:30 PST,and on the hour, half, or quarter..at those times I add 10 to 15 second to my snipe lead time.

I checked and we did snipe that item. It's just that eBay didnt accept it on time. You can see this by clicking the "Confirmation" button next to your losing snipe.

5 seconds is usually enough for a snipe at that time. Sundays are nortorious for eBay repsonse times being erratic.

You can get a free snipe here:
http://www.auctionsniper.com/freeSnipes.aspx

We do this even when it was eBay running slowly that caused things to miss. You can get free snipes even if eBay goes down and is offline and it's clearly eBays fault too. Basically if a snipe misses you can get a free snipe with that link above.

Thank you
