have tried putting two friends on and keep getting this message. They both have hotmail accounts - is that just coincidence?

The 'free snipes' system is flawed - I've watched someone correctly enter their details and still received nada.

You’ve watched someone since then and it’s still not working?

We've tested this like crazy and it's always seemed to work for us. I tested sending myself emails from our referral page and got both emails from my 2 attempts. We give out a lot of free snipes every day so I think this is working. Every once and again something happens where maybe an email address is wrong or they used their friends normal email addy and not the one that friend uses on eBay etc or whatever and we have to manually give someone the credits, but the automatic ones normally work.

Who needs a memory when you've got Rick! Huge apologies to AS, he's right - I was thinking back to the days when my referrals were going astray. In fairness, I have no more friends who I can sucker into signing up so I have no idea if it is working for me...
