What happened last night? AuctionSniper placed my bid about an hour and a half before the auction closed. That snipe was proxy outbid so I tried to place another snipe but AuctionSniper wasn't accepting them. I got up at 2:00 am and place a manual bid to win the auction.

AS is down on friday mornings for maint, usually from 1:00 to 3:00 am. They had more to do than normal and went down 1 1/2 hours earlier. When AS is going to go down they send snipes for that time range in early so that they at least get placed.

Looks like AS found a strange little way to warn me that my snipe wasn't high enough even though it was higher than the item's current bid. Wow .........it's almost cosmic!

Glad it worked out for the better!
