I left this info in a reply to an earlier post, but wanted to post a seperate topic to warn as many people as possible.

There's a potentially dangerous bug with bid groups happening right now: some successfully won auctions are being listed as in an UNKNOWN status. If this happens, AS sofware is currently NOT cancelling the bids in the rest of the bid group!

You must go and cancel the bids manually or AS will keep bidding! To be safe I would not start any new bid groups with auctions ending tonight before you go to bed. You might wake up with 14 copies of that "Snow White" DVD you wanted.

Hi,

UNTRUE!

Our software will not bid on any items if any of the other items are "unknown"

The system is working 100% correctly. We dont cancel them until you win. However we wont bid while there is unknowns.

The idea is that there should never be unknowns. When there are programmers look into them, fix them, and then bidding on the rest of the bid group continues.

All behind the scenes without your need to worry.

The system was very carefully created to never win multiple items, ever. And as far as I know it never has.

Thank you

I apologize if this warning was false; the fact is my bid group snipes were NOT cancelled yesterday and I guess I freaked out! What was I to think when all the snipes said "ready" and I had already won the item?

What with all the massive bugs happening in the last week, I thought it was a good idea to be on the safe side until the "unknown" status bug was fixed today.

Thanx.

Ya, it certainly didn't hurt to delete the rest of your bidgroup since you'd already won an item.

I do that sometimes just to clear out my snipes list.
