Good morning/afternoon/evening/night (delete as inappropriate) - (No, not the 'Good' part - doh!).

Is there a general problem logging into AS or is it just me and my systems ?

I opened the AS site and hit the 'My Snipes' tab and was asked to login - AS normally remembers my password - I entered the password and AS asked for it again - oops - I entered the password more carefully - and AS asked again.

I checked another system which already had an AS session open in 'My Snipes' (I left it open last night) and asked AS to update prices and it dumped me out to the main page and asked me to log in.

Anybody else getting this ?

Same thing every week from 1am-3am. We're down for maintenance. This is the same time which eBay also does theirs. It's not an every week occurance for them anymore however like it was until just recently. I do believe they announced they'd be down sporadically tonight because they are doing a maintenance this week.

Oh yes, I forgot that Californian provinciality thing.

Of course it's not 1am - 3am here. It's 9am -11am. Which is a convenient time to check my Ebay watching list and snipes (if any) for the weekend as things get busier during the day and I may not get back to check......

Oh well - let's hope somebody is making a nice change somewhere.

and I may have suggested that it would be sensible if AS put a message up when their system is down rather than have people becoming more and more frustrated when they cannot log in.

Perhaps if all non-Yanks sent this email to AS they might just get it:

Dear AS

Please could you make it that a message comes up when AS is down for maintenance. I am fortunate to live in a different time zone from you so your 1am-3am maintenance slot is my [put your equivalent here] normal login time.

I find the inexplicable inability to log in during this time most frustrating and I'm thinking of moving to competitor/killing myself/throwing computer out of the window* [delete as applicable] as a result of your shortsightedness.

I think that a number of people have requested this fix (especially that rather nice Region2) so I am surprised that you haven't implemented it.
