Or is that Meese? My home decor is sort of a Cartrights meet Northern Exposure. You know, cowboys and mooses! It's interesting, but we like it...and my hubby's friends are so mad because their wives like flowers and stuff all over the house. I like 'em too, but out in the garden.

... we have a western themed decor also. It's not too flowery inside our house either. However, my husband is a bow & black powder hunter so we have a smattering of critter heads in the house. We also have a big pile of elk antlers out in the barn, I keep threatening to put them out on eBay. My spouse says he doesn't even think it would be legal to do that because the animals weren't domestically raised (ranch elk). I know there's a big market for antlers with people who make those chandeliers... I think I'm going to go do some searching to see what's what on eBay.l

Well... If you find any moose antlers out there...

I found 270 listings on eBay under "moose antler*" and some of the antlers offered were fairly cheap (I think). Others, the larger Boone and Crockett kind, were around $400. Happy searching.

I just sniped a pair of running shoes from someone ID'd mooseantlers. I kid you NOT - and it IS April Fools Day .
Was that you?

Nope, Lisa, wasn't me. I am and always will be the Moosemaniac. And even $400 is a bit steep for me to pay for moose antlers. But I keep hoping.

Moosemaniac, I said the high-end antlers on eBay were in the $400 range. There were plenty of antlers available for under $100. Take a look for yourself.

You want that mean ol' b**** that's been running around my yard and eating my dogs food?!? She's charged me once already, her days could be numbered!!
I'll see what I can come up with for atlers if you like...obviously, she doesn't have any but she's not the only moose in the woods either...or my yard for that matter!

Thanks for getting my curiosity aroused...I had to check out the antler situation and when I did came across this - 3500866378 - a way cool knife that of course I have put a snipe in for. (they have lots listed so don't snipe mine please )
Moosemaniac, congrats on making the move to your land, I kind of miss the country myself, I have been living in town for past eight years after being in the country for forty, but at least I'm on an island, so don't have much civilization around to deal with.

Moose don't live in my area (thankfully). We have enough trouble with deer eating everything in sight.
And Robert, I wouldn't deliberately snipe a fellow sniper. Promise!

Robert, I checked that way cool knife out and I think it's the kind the Eskimos call a "ulu." It's supposed to be just the ticket for carving off walrus tusks, seal blubber, polar bear hides (after the bear is dead, please), etc.

I was looking for something to carve seal blubber, darn it.

There were others on eBay just like it, Moosemaniac. Help yourself.
My wife and I were in Juneau Alaska and found a shop that had the cutest moose’s figurines for Christmas trees. Try a search for the Juneau area with Google I'm pretty sure they have a web site and ship. I hope you find them we purchased some and fell in love with them and wish we had more.
